Breast Feeding Vs Bottle Feeding

You are expecting your first baby but have you thought about how you will feed them? Do like the idea of breast feeding or are you going to bottle feed? Or, have you even thought about it all? To be honest, a lot of expectant mothers aren’t sure what is best to do as they aren’t always sure of breast feeding but not overly convinced with the bottle either. It can be tough for new mothers to know what to do as no-one wants to rear their child wrong. So, which is the one for you?

Sometimes Breast Feeding Can Make You Feel A Little More Closely To the Baby

In a way, breast feeding can be a great avenue for any new mother to explore. You can actually feel a lot closer to the baby by breast feeding and it’s something which many new mothers want to explore. You are giving the baby nutrients they need and it can be a natural thing for any new mother to do. Yes, it might not always be something you are sure of but it can be a wonderful experience to say the least. Of course, this isn’t the right avenue for all new mothers as they aren’t always happy to go down this route but it’s something to look into nonetheless.

Bottle Feeding Can Work For Some Mothers Better Than Breast Feeding

What you do have to understand is that some mothers aren’t able to breast feed their baby. When that happens bottle feeding is probably the more natural course to take. However, lots of mothers think bottle feeding isn’t as good as breast feeding and they worry they are doing something wrong. In actual fact there is no right or wrong way to nurse a child. If you don’t want to breast feed or are unable to, bottle feeding can be just as good. You are still giving the baby nutrients from formula and it can often be something most mothers are more comfortable with.

It’s Every Mother’s Decision

Right now, there’s a lot of pressure put on new mothers to breast feed their babies and it’s in a way, understandable. There are experts who say this is the better avenue than opting for bottle feeding but the truth is that both breast feeding and bottle feeding can offer the same results. Just because you choose to use the bottle, it doesn’t make you a bad mother. At the end of the day you have to do what you feel is best and most appropriate for you. If you feel bottle feeding isn’t for you then look to breast feeding and if you don’t feel breast feeding is something you feel comfortable with then opt for the bottle. The choice is yours as it’s your baby and your decision. You know what is right for that child.

Do What You Feel Is Best

While you might not be initially struck on the idea of breast feeding that doesn’t mean to say you can’t try it or even enjoy it after the baby is born. What is more, you might find that you really don’t like the whole breast feeding experience and may choose to bottle feed the child instead. That is your choice and at the end of the day you have to do what’s best for you and the child. Don’t be pressurized into doing something you aren’t keen on doing. This is your baby and you have to do what you feel is best.…
